Football Manager 2019 - Top 5 Signings for League One

Hi Guys and welcome to the Top 5 Signings for League One. I've been away from doing this for a while but wanted to do another post. Hope you enjoy. Please check out my other post that is very popular : https://thejonkyblog.blogspot.com/2019/05/football-manager-2019-top-5-sell-on-fee.html

1. Callum Hulme - Costing you at £375k is a bargain for a 17 year old who is English and is able to play anywhere down the middle in midfield. He progresses well as the seasons go by if you play him and will get some decent offers from bigger clubs in the future.

2. Danny Rowe - Coming in at around £250k, this is a great price for a 2nd striker with 17 finishing. He probably won't storm the league for you but he will definitely pick you up some important goals.

3. Guirane N'Daw - As a free agent, N'daw is a great signing for any League One team this year. He is a great option to have as a defensive midfielder and he will be perfect for you for your first season in charge.

4. Jimmy De Jonghe - I managed to buy De Jonghe at the start of my game for £18k and he has been a top player for me. Although he doesn't seem to fit the quality for League One, he can certainly play at this level and have an impact. In his first 6 games for me with Wallsall, he scored 1 goal and getting 4 assists to his name.

5. Lewis Wing - Any team in League One would benefit for having Wing in their team. I believe that he would be a 4 star ability for every team in the league and the best part he is on loan and his wages are only at £2k which is affordable. His stats are amazing and he has the qualities of playing in the Championship even in the first season.

Football Manager 2019 - Top 5 Loan Deal Set Transfer Fees in France

Hello and Welcome to the Top 5 Best Loan Deal Set Transfer Fees in the French Leagues. I will be showing you the 5 of the best players you can sign that are currently on loan at a club with the option to sign the player at any time during their loan spell with you. Please go follow me on twitter for more posts like these and more FM content @thejonkyblog.

Andy Delort and Montpellier Hérault SC

You're able to sign Delort For Montpellier Hérault SC for a decent sum of £3.6 Million. This price for this player and fir this team is a decent deal. Predicted to finish 11th in the table, Delort will be a key striker for you that will grab you at least 10 vital goals this season.

M’Baye Niang and Stade Rennais FC

M’Baye Niang is a very good player having played for many decent teams already at the age of 23. You have the option during the season to purchase him for £9 Million, which is a high price, but a good player for what he can deliver.

Serhou Guirassy and Amiens SC

With the potential to become a leading player for the division, Guirassy is a must buy for this team. He is already an amazing player and will be leading this team this season, but you will be needing his services if you're going to challenge for a European place. At a price of £3.6 million, this really is a no brainer and you must sign him if you decide to manage Amiens SC.

Boschilia and FC Nantes

Any player from Monaco nowadays has some quality they possess after seeing them rise to challenge PSG to be the French Champions. Well, picking up a player like Boschilia would a bream for some clubs and luckily for FC Nantes, they have the arrangement to sign him for £10.75 Million which is a very good deal for a player of his calibre. Although the price is quite a high, he is definitely affordable and well worth the risk.

Valentin Eysseric and FC Nantes

Eysseric was the easiest choice to place in this top 5. He is a an important player already for this squad being 4/4 star rating and you can pick him up for a mega cheap deal of £2.7 million. This is a great deal as he is worth so much more to this team. Alongside Boschilia, you can start to make yourself a very good looking team that can contend for a much higher spot in the division.

Football Manager 2019 - Top 5 Loan Deal Set Transfer Fees in Germany

Hello and Welcome to the Top 5 Best Loan Deal Set Transfer Fees in the German Leagues. I will be showing you the 5 of the best players you can sign that are currently on loan at a club with the option to sign the player at any time during their loan spell with you. Please go follow me on twitter for more posts like these and more FM content @thejonkyblog.

5.Yûya Kubo and FC Nürnberg

Kubo is a key player for FC Nürnberg as they fight for survival in the Bundesliga. He plays as an attacking midfielder, a key part to the attacking side of their game. Should you survive the relegation fight, you will need to decide if you think he is worth a cut down price of £4.5 million considering he is valued at £6.25 million.

4.Robert Bauer and FC Nürnberg

Coming in at 4th, we have Robert Bauer. He is a first team, first choice right for FC Nürnberg this season and he has a 4 star potential ability at 23 years old. He is a good player with decent stats across the board. Similar to Kubo, if you survive the drop, you will need to think about if Bauer is worth the very cheap price of £1.8 million you can get him for.

3. Jeffrey Bruma and FC Schalke 04

At number 3, we have Jeffrey Bruma who is probably more well known than our first two choices in this list. Playing for teams such as Chelsea, Leicester City, Hamburger SV, PSV Eindhoven and VfL Wolfsburg. He has a lot of experience behind him and at the age of 26, he has many years left to play a crucial part in your FC Schalke 04 save. Being valued at £5.75 Million at the start of the game, you can pick him up for a very cheap price of £3.1 million. I think this is a absolute steal as you don't have to spend a fortune for some other first team players that you could be spending over £5 million for.

James Rodríguez and FC Bayern München

As you may know already, James Rodríguez is a very good player having played for the likes of Real Madrid and FC Bayern München. Well, if you play your first season and he happens to have a quality season for you, then you can pick up for a massively knocked down price of £37.5 million. Considering he is valued at the start of the game at £53 million, this is a major bargain. His Stats are immense and you should definitely be picking him up if you decide to do a FC Bayern München save.

Luka Jovic and Eintracht Frankfurt

At the number 1 spot we have Luka Jovic. This has to be the best loan set transfer fee Football Manager 2019 has in the entire game. This is a crazy bargain for Eintracht Frankfurt, which you can decide to buy the £18.75 million rated striker for just £6.25 million! Jovic on his own as a player is incredible and will be a massive success for you. But if you decide to, you could sell him on for some major profit. Either way, buy him and keep him or buy him and sell him, both moves are incredible for the team.

I'd like to say a thanks to Omega Luke Gaming with his Eintracht Frankfurt save. I've been watching his great FM content which inspired me to write this post.

My Harrogate Save Series and Team Guides

Football Manager 2019 - Harrogate Town Part 4 | Top Of The Table! |

September

Welcome back to the Harrogate Save part 4. We kick this chapter off with a very impressive month of September with 6 wins out of a possible 7 games.

We started off with two good wins against Eastleigh and Gateshead. In our first game against Eastleigh, we went down to ten men after another red card for Josh Falkingham. But we kept fighting and we eventually got a second goal to finish the game. We narrowly won our second game against Gateshead scoring in the 85th and 92nd minute of the game.

Unfortunately, Maidstone was our only slip up of the month being defeated 1-0, a game we needed to win as they're also playoff contenders. But, After this game, we kick on to 4 straight wins on the bounce against some very difficult opponents. Our biggest wins coming against Wrexham, winning 6-2 and Boreham Wood, winning 5-0.

Top Players

We're two months into the season and our best players are starting to shine. We have many players in this squad that are showing just what they're made of and are making a claim of staying with the club next season, wherever we will be. See the pictures below to just see how good they're all doing.

James Belshaw

Milan van Ewijk

Aaron Kuhl

Jack Muldoon

Joe Leesley

Kyle McFarlane

The Table

So far, we are doing very well. I wasn't expecting us to reach first place, but I'm confident we can stay close to the top position and I am now expecting us to at least reach the playoffs. If we don't reach the playoffs, I'd consider that a failure after the decent start we've had to the season.

Overview

I'm very happy with how things are going. The team is playing well and the players are improving all the time, showing they're capable of League 2. Our finances are still questionable but I'm still expecting it to improve, especially if we get promoted. I've already started planning for if we do get promoted. There will be a lot of changes to the squad, getting rid of a lot of players and bringing in a lot of my own players. Next month is looking positive with not as many games to cover in the next chapter.

Football Manager 2019 - Harrogate Town Part 3 | Mixed Results |

August

Welcome to Chapter 3 of The Harrogate Save. Last time we went through my signings and pre-season which i'd say, we did pretty well. But we begin looking at our fixtures for the first month in August. Overall, I haven't been too pleased with how we've done but it's most definitely not the worst.

We Started off very well against Sutton United. We had a lot of possession during the match but we probably could have been a bit more clinical with our finishing. The tactic had worked the way I wanted it to with Josh Falkingham leading the passing. I do have a bit of a conundrum though. Falkingham to this point has 95% best pass completion but has already picked up a red card and several yellows. Do I stick with him or do I change?

We had a disappointing loss to Hartlepool which we should have done better. We had many chances to score and win but didn't take them. We then followed up with two very good impressive wins, the most impressive being Barnet, who was top of the table at the time being a very tough force. During these first couple of games there have been only two standout players for me, Joe Leesley and Milan van Ewijk. See the image below to see why...

They both have been playing excellent throughout everygame so far. Since the Barnet game we have lost one game and drawn our last two games of the month. Very disappointed in the Solihull draw as we went 2-0 down in the first 20 minutes to clinch it back at the end. We should be winning games like this.

I was more proud of the Fylde game. They're a much stronger team than us but we went 2-0 up very quickly, just like the Solihull game in reverse. But, just like that game, we let the lead slip and they got back on level terms just after the break.

We currently sit 11th place in the table after playing 7 games, only 2 points from the playoffs. I think think we could have done slightly better but i'm fairly happy with how we've done so far. I'm looking at next month to be in the playoffs and sitting around 6th/7th place.

Finances

So the finances haven't got exactly to plan. I have signed quite a few players but I hold hope that a lot of the players I have signed are fairly young so come the end of the season, I get interest for one of them, I may have to think about whether I should sell or not. Either way, i'm not too worried at this stage as there is still plenty more time for things to change.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this chapter. The next part will include Septembers results and news. If you haven't already, go check out -

Football Manager 2019 - Top 5 Sell On Fee Clauses In England

Welcome to another blog post for Football Manager 2019. In this post, i'll be going through the top 5 sell on fee clauses in the English divisions. Sometimes when starting a save with a team, one of the things that can make the difference is the money you're able to spend. This post will be showing you teams that have been very lucky to have some previous players in their ranks, allowing them to make a considerate amount of money, which can completely turn a season around.

How to find the Clauses page

1. Click on the Transfers tab down the left hand column of the screen.

2. At the top of the screen, just above the transfer and wage budgets you'll see a line of tabs where you'll see the Clauses option next to Transfer History.

Top 5

5. Phil Jones and Blackburn Rovers.

Coming in at number 5 is Phil Jones for Blackburn Rovers. He has a 25% profit clause on his next transfer after Manchester United. The board have negotiated with United for Blackburn to sell this early and gain £1.5 million. This can make for a very fun save with Blackburn as they already have a very healthy transfer budget and adding this extra funds on will mean you can bring in plenty of quality.

4. Demarai Gray and Birmingham City
At number 4 we have the very talented Demarai Gray. Managing to be part of the Leicester City Premier League win, he has found himself a decent first team player there, but with no sign of moving to a bigger club. Birmingham City this year have had a bad time with finances and this is very clear in the transfer and wage budget available at the start of the game. NOTE: From my research, the clause only becomes available to sell in the original Football Manager database and NOT the updated version. This Clause will bring in around £3.4 million for Birmingham which is an amazing amount of money for this side to reach survival in the Championship.

3. Will Hughes and Derby County

In the number 3 spot we have Will Hughes, who was once a key player for Derby before being sold to Watford. Derby County have always been a playoff team and this is no different this season. Derby have some very good players this season but with this extra money coming in for the transfer budget, you could see them progress further than recent years.

2. Nathan Redmond and Norwich City

Norwich City are a team very much capable of being promoted this season, especially with the team they have. But with only £1 million in transfer budget to spend at the start of the game, it can take away the fun of bringing in your own players to a already strong team. Luckily, Norwich have a few clauses available that you can cash in on at the start of the game. Most notably being Nathan Redmond, who will be bringing in around £3.9 million. Furthermore, Sergi Canos and Alex Pritchard will also be able to bring a small but welcome extra transfer budget.

1. Sam Gallagher + Jack Stephens and Plymouth Argyle

At number 1 we have Plymouth Argyle. This one is my most favourite of clauses. The reason being, a football team in League One having almost £4 million in transfer budget is incredible. Considering they're predicted to finish near the bottom of the table, this can change their season to league winners. You can do so much with this team and bring in all the players you want to that you may not be able to at other League 1 teams. So, the reason why this comes in at number 1 is because of the amount of money you receive for the league you're in. It's just mind blowing!

Football Manager 2019 - Harrogate Town Part 2 | These Signings! |

Transfers

Welcome to Part 2 of my Harrogate Town save. In this chapter I will be showing you how I've got on during my first month with Harrogate, leaving you with our first game of the season against Sutton United in the next chapter.

I am very excited to be showing you all the transfers I have made in my first transfer window. From the first chapter I mentioned that we had around £8k in wages which has helped me in the signings I have made. Please see the picture below.

These signings will all be an integral part of this season. I am very pleased with the signings of Rai Simons, Aaron Kuhl, Milan Van Ewjik and Adrian Molina. Let me show you a little more about my signings.

Rai Simons is an absolute coup for us. Coming in from Chesterfield on a free, he has been a revelation in pre-season, scoring 6 goals and assisting 3 in 3 matches. Looking at my squad before, I realised I needed this type of striker if I wanted to be in with a chance of the playoffs. He has great finishing and composure for this league and some very good physical stats too.

Aaron Kuhl is probably a player that a lot of Football Manager fans have heard of. Once a youth prospect for Reading, and a good one at that. He has found himself struggling to set himself at a club. I think this is his opportunity now. Coming in as a key player for our midfield, he will be a clinical part of how we play this season and has potential to stick with us for quite a few seasons ahead.

Well, the first thing to mention with Adrian Molina is his £40k release clause. I couldn't believe it when I found him and the fact he was happy to join Harrogate was even better. At 21 years old he has a lot of time to improve and with a finishing stat of 14 already, I can't wait to see where he takes us. I like to think that he will be our little Spanish magician, which not many teams in this league will have.

Although my tactic in the last chapter didn't include any full backs, since these signings I have decided to adjust my tactic to fit the squad I have. Ewjik is a 17 year old, Dutch full back with amazing potential. I got him in on a free transfer and looking to put him straight into the first team, to improve him as much as possible, hoping he is capable of playing much further beyond this division. As you can see from his stats, at 17 he is incredible and with playing time he could become a legend for this club.

Pre-Season

Overall, I'd say we have had a very successful pre-season. We have had some good wins and our losses haven't been terrible, especially our 2-1 loss to Brighton which I was proud of. Half way through pre-season I had changed the tactic we were using. I found we were scoring a good amount of goals but conceding too many. I also noticed that my squad including the new signigns weren't being used to their full ability. Not having any full backs was leaving us too open at the back, so bringing in Milan Van Ewjik and Niko Hämäläinen were two very good choices. Our first game of the season is a few days away and I think we're very much ready to get a win on the opening day of the season.

Change In Tactic

As stated above, our tactic has changed, but our way of playing has also slightly changed with it. To counter our leaky defence, I saw a chance to play more possession based football. We had the players to do it, so I tested it and it worked like a treat. Although we lost to Brighton, we put up a very decent fight and there was almost a glimmer of hope to pull it back to 2-2. I was very pleased with the performance in pre-season and i'm glad this squad can play a varied range of football if needs be.

Overview

To conclude, our signings have been perfect and have all performed amazingly. We have achieved a good pre-season and ready for our first game of the season, feeling like a win is around the corner. We have also managed to set ourselves a tactic that works best for us with the hopes of not changing it too much through the season.

Unfortunately, we didn't sign Danny Philpott, who went to Eastleigh instead. But we did sign Erwin Vandenbergh and Tony Mcnally who are very good scouts for us. I am keeping an eye out on some decent staff members and will notify if any changes occur. We have also managed to get QPR as a Senor Affiliate which you can see from some of the players loaned in from them.

In the next chapter, we will go through our first 7 games of the season and give you an update on how things are going. Please leave a comment if you have enjoyed reading this and give me a follow on twitter @thejonkyblog

Football Manager 2019 - Harrogate Town Part 1 | The Club |

Hello and welcome to the first save on my blog where we will be starting with Harrogate Town. The aim of this save is to get Harrogate as far as we can. This will be a difficult save but we're going to try and do our best. If you have any tips please feel free to leave a comment in the comments section.

Overview

So we begin this save playing in the Vanarama National League after being promoted last season. We're predicted to finish 19th in the table but we're looking at a more mid table finish or aiming for the playoffs. We have a good squad but we do need to improve in areas. Luckily for us we have nearly £8k in wages so we can at least try and get some decent free agents and loans to help us this season.

Our squad looks decent. We have some very good players in this team that will be crucial for us such as Joe Leesley, Jack Muldoon, Callum Howe, Michael Woods, Josh Falkingham and James Belshaw. Some of these players will need their contract extending for the future.

Josh Falkingham looks like a very good player with decent passing and tackling and his mental attributes are very good. I think it would be wise to work the squad around him with him dictating the play.

Staff

I don't like to change too much in terms of staff. I like to look at who we can bring in and then see what changes we can make. I have looked through our staff members and we need to hire some scouts. I looked through a list and I have put contract offers towards Erwin Vandenbergh and Danny Philpott. I am excited about both these scouts as Danny is a very good scout and Erwin is a scout with a lot of knowledge on different countries, hopefully finding decent players outside of England, which at this level is a very good start. We shall find out in the next chapter if we manage to sign them.

Tactics

As for our tactics, I'm looking to test my tactic out on our first pre-season game against our under 23's. I'm looking to press the opposition and play very intense football. I don't want our opponents to have any time on the ball. This season we're up against many hard teams which is why I have chosen this style of play.

We will have to see how we cope with no full backs. I am trying to create a tactic that is different but effective against our opposition. Our wingers will play an important role with attacking and defending for us.

I plan on adding some bigger teams to face in pre-season. This will help us with our tactic, see if any changes are needed and to help with our finances too; which are looking very good at the moment.

This save will be taking place in monthly chapters. In the next chapter I will be showing you the transfers I make and how pre-season has gone, getting ready for the start of the season against Sutton United.

If you have any questions or have any advice for me please let me know. I hope you have enjoyed reading this first post with Harrogate Town.
