Welcome to the Chesterfield FC challenge where i will be showing you an interesting save to try out. One of the first things I noticed when looking at the Chesterfield squad was how much young talent they had to begin with. I thought this would make an ideal challenge to only use young players and build our way up the divisions with these players and hopefully making some big money from them. In the image below, you'll see the list of players we start off with that have a good potential, excluding players that are over 22.
Obviously we have a lot more players than this that have a lot more experience and will be able to help these young prospects reach their ability. These more experience players can always be backup for rotation and cover injury's.
Transfers In
In the first image above, we clearly need a lot more youth potential to fill in the gaps and so I have searched through and have found the best candidates to join our ranks to help us with our challenge.
With these signings you should be able to have a decent start to your youth challenge. Make sure to play them as much as possible so they reach their full potential. Also, even though this is a youth challenge make sure to use the older players you have at the club to your advantage and get some tutoring for your players as this will help them succeed. In the image below, you'll see what the final team will look like after the signings you have made.
The Challenge
Basically, win the Premier league with only using your youth players. If your save is going well, then try and win the Champions League too. Once your players have reached the age of 22/23 then sell them on for hopefully lots of money to invest in more young stars or improving your youth facilities. Finally, if you can make home grown talent at Chesterfield, this would be even better and make it more of a challenge. At the beginning of the save we have a few players that have come through our academy so be sure to keep them with you as you move up the leagues.
